Lead Talent Partner (Remote 🌍, +3/-3 CET hours)

We're looking for a Lead Talent Partner to work with teams across Pento to hire phenomenal talent, and embed effective and inclusive recruiting operations. This is a senior hands-on role, reporting into the soon-to-be-hired Head of Talent (and Kayleigh, our Head of People, in the interim). We also have the flexibility to hire at a senior level.

The role 🎒

Team growth

  • Day to day management of the recruitment process for either Tech and Product, or Commercial and Customer Experience (we're open about specialisms but think this broad stroke split makes sense for now — let us know if you agree or would like a different split).
  • Outreach and screening. You'll become our go-to Talent expert, will own the front of the pipeline, and a core part of your week will be hands-on sourcing and recruiting yourself.
  • Headcount planning. You'll partner with key stakeholders to maintain a plan, adjusting as we go, informed by data.

Talent attraction

  • You'll be responsible for deploying multiple strategies to reach and attract talent. Advertising, sourcing, events, marketing, agencies...you'll be one step ahead of our growth plan and won't sit comfortably.
  • You'll manage multiple efforts running in tandem, and be laser focused on brilliant execution and candidate experience. There can be chaos but only the organised kind 😀
  • You'll lead efforts to enthusiastically and realistically communicate opportunities at Pento, balancing capturing the career-defining impact on offer, with the realities of scale-up life. You'll be a brilliant communicator yourself.

Improving operations and team coaching

  • You'll optimise for supporting candidates and removing unnecessary barriers to engaging with and being successful at Pento — driving improvements as part of our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
  • You’ll lead efforts to automate and streamline processes without compromising on quality or internal and candidate experience.
  • You'll coach leaders and hiring managers to recruit really well.
  • You'll contribute to building our Talent toolkit — improving our current self-serve content on Notion and leading training for the team.

The role will be a great fit if... ✨

  • You really love recruiting. This is a senior role with plenty of scope to lead significant projects, but you will be a recruiter and responsible for driving team growth.
  • You have deep expertise recruiting for Tech and Product, or Commercial and Customer Experience — you understand these roles and get excited about their impact.
  • You're a brilliant communicator – verbal and written. Everything from hosting engaging and informative conversations with candidates, through to writing superb job specs.
  • You enjoy building strong relationships and enjoy coaching others.
  • You deeply believe in building diverse, equitable and inclusive teams and environments, and you have proven experience of achieving tangible results in these areas.
  • You have excellent organisational skills, and you're comfortable with changing priorities and some ambiguity at times. We're not as chaotic as you might think (!) but we are a startup and we pivot quickly if something isn't working or priorities have changed.
