Senior Manager Financial Controlling/FP&A (Remote 🌍, +3/-3 CET hours)

We're looking for a Senior Manager Financial Controlling/FP&A to oversee and own all FP&A-related matters and processes to help the leadership team with decision-making.

The role πŸŽ’

You will be responsible for generating insights based on financial and non-financial data, helping us make strategic, numbers informed, decisions and constantly being on the look out for opportunities to improve Pento's unit economics and profitability. You will make sure our reporting and planning is 100% solid while dealing with day-to-day analytic matters.

We are a lean team, where everyone has a tangible impact. As a hands-on operator who will be instrumental in driving the company's next stage of growth, you will be partnering with the Head of Finance and other managers to develop insights into each corner of the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing rolling 3-5 years business plans, annual budgets, and short-term forecasts models consisting of KPIs, profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Running the management reporting within the organisation, identifying and researching variances
  • Developing and implementing a KPI framework in collaboration with all business units and teams
  • Diving deeply into unit economics and financial data to become a subject matter expert and provide additional insights
  • Partnering with business units and teams to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews
  • Closely collaborating with the Sales and Ops teams to optimise pricing and contracting
  • Setting up FP&A systems and drive automation projects within finance with the support of the Finance operations manager
  • Special projects and any ad-hoc analysis as they arise
  • Building and scaling the FP&A/Controlling team in line with Pento's overall growth

The role will be a great fit if... ✨

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in FP&A/Controlling, preferably in a fast-growing B2B tech, software or SaaS environment
  • You have a business economics degree. A CIMA or similar qualification is a plus
  • You have general knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles
  • You have strong written and verbal communications skills
  • You have excellent Excel and financial modelling skills and have produced 3-5 year forecasts and SaaS KPI frameworks from scratch
  • You enjoy the challenges that come with building a controlling/FP&A function within a rapidly growing startup from scratch
  • You are proactive and curious, you have a strong attention to detail and take pride in having full accountability
  • You enjoy working within tight deadlines while providing high quality results
  • You are tech-savvy and enjoy working with modern tools and tech-enabled processes
  • You are willing to develop into the role of Head of FP&A/Controlling over the next 1-2 years
