Head of Talent (Remote 🌍, +3/-3 CET hours)

We're looking for a Head of Talent to join our growing People and Talent team to drive our people growth plan and build a world-class Talent function at Pento. This role will report into Kayleigh, our Head of People, and work side-by-side with our founders, Jonas and Emil.

The role 🎒

Talent strategy and team-building

  • Building and nurturing a world-class in-house Talent function, starting with building a stellar team.
  • Building the function for tomorrow! You need to think big from day 1.
  • Setting strategic and tactical plans to hire today and anticipate future talent needs, ensuring that diversity, equity and inclusion is at the heart of our strategy.
  • Designing a brilliant experience for our candidates and hiring teams.
  • Balancing quality, cost and time, ensuring we prioritise and move fast, yet build better for the future. There will be some things we will not compromise on and you will drive these conversations with the broader senior team.
  • Inspiring and leading our (soon-to-be-hired) Talent team, guiding their own professional development and growth.
  • Actively collaborating with key stakeholders and the broader team to ensure everyone feels accountable and ownership of our hiring plan.

Building our brand and pipeline

  • Leading efforts to build Pento's employer brand, in collaboration with our broader Marketing team. You will shape our people content strategy and tone of voice.
  • Balancing efforts to hire people into the business this quarter with building pipelines for high-growth teams for the future.
  • Hands-on recruiting yourself. This is essential during our current phase of growth.
  • Leading people planning efforts, working closely with our Head of People and Head of Finance.

Operations excellence

  • Embedding a data-driven approach to improving our operations.
  • Establishing the best and most valuable tech-stack for Pento’s growth.
  • Building a granular understanding of our operations and setting standards across our entire end-to-end.
  • Maintaining internal documentation on strategy, goals and processes (primarily through our Notion employee handbook).
  • Embedding a culture of reflection and iteration across the Talent team, ensuring we continuously push forward our efforts.

The role will be a great fit if... ✨

  • You have had a similar role before (a Head of role or equivalent) in a fast-growth environment.
  • You have led or played a significant role across the growth of a 200+ person team.
  • You have hired across technical and commercial roles, and have a strong understanding of what good looks like.
  • You're comfortable with targets and managing velocity.
  • You're deeply strategic yet still get energy from day-to-day tactical efforts.
  • You're obsessed about the attention to detail required to deliver a brilliant external and internal experience.
  • You enjoy building strong relationships.
  • You enjoy designing and following strong processes (think embedding structured interviews), and bringing people along on these journeys.
  • You're comfortable operating within a lean team. Whilst we will grow the Talent team, we will prioritise optimising tools to support our efforts alongside.
  • You deeply believe in building diverse, equitable and inclusive teams and environments, and you have proven experience of achieving tangible results in these areas.
  • You have strong analytical skills and adopt a data-driven approach.
  • You have excellent organisational skills, and you're comfortable with changing priorities and some ambiguity at times. We're not as chaotic as you might think (!) but we are a startup and we pivot quickly if something isn't working or priorities have changed.
